Embodied type glove is an interactive installation that allows users to see the style of a font changes in response to their gestures by collecting analog data and mapping it to the style of the font.
Purpose
First, by connecting people’s bodily sensation to the morphing shape of type, it seeks to bridge the intangible realm of bits and the tangible realm of atoms, allowing users to develop a visceral appreciation for the beauty of typography.
Second, by making variable font playfully interactive, the installation serves as an education pathway for promoting the technology.
